Peugeot Motorcycles is the subsidiary of the French Peugeot group with sites in various countries around the world. Through their collaboration with NLE, an IBM Business Partner, Peugeot have implemented an e-business solution for purchase order procurement based on Lotus Domino running on an AS/400, Lotus Enterprise Integrator and Domino Workflow. One aspect however was missing and that was proper presentation and automation of creation of the purchase orders which were generated by the workflow. "NLE, an IBM, Partner introduced Integra to Peugeot Motorcycles. The choice of Integra was based on our requirement to print purchase orders as part of our e-Business project using Domino Workflow.
Integra is providing a lot of business value to our solution as it allows the exporting of data from Lotus Notes databases into Word and Excel templates stored in the Integra profiles. Using this tool, we have achieved improvements in automation, quality, and presentation of our purchase order documents.
We are using Integra to generate purchase orders with an unlimited number of lines per order in our workflow application and this is working to our satisfaction. During the development of this project, we found Integra easy to install, set-up and use on a daily basis. With the use of Integra, we have achieved better quality of presentation and automation in the required output of our workflow solution. Additional benefits that we are getting from Integra include:
- The option to activate Word and Excel documents created by Integra, allows last minute changes to the output document before printing.
- The option to convert Word and Excel documents created by Integra into other formats, such as PDF, to secure the output from changes by end users.
- The option to protect Integra profiles through the use of Reader and Author fields making profiles only available to authorised users.
- The ease of distribution of the Word and Excel templates to the different departments as they are centrally stored in the Integra database
Integra for Notes has brought a considerable return on investment to Peugeot Motorcycles in the development of the printing solution. Before the implementation of Integra, it used to take three working days by the developers to come up with the required printing solution which works out at €2,000 per report (approximately US$1,900).
Considering the number of reporting options that we required in our workflow application the ROI is considerable. We have obtained a considerable amount of business value through the successful implementation of Integra within our e-business solution.
We have found the support provided by Shireburn very responsive to our technical issues both to us as a company and to NLE our IBM Business Partner. Should the opportunity arise we will definitely recommend Shireburn to provide the solutions as successfully implemented within our systems.
