Location of Word fields supported by Integra

When data is exported by Integra for Notes from a Notes database into Microsoft Word, this data is pushed into Word fields created in the Word document.

Word supports the location of fields in the main document, in headers and footers, in text boxes and various other locations. However unfortunately Word stores fields contained in different parts of the document as part of different objects. For instance fields that are created in the main part of the document are stored as part of the document object while fields that are created in headers and footers are organised in header and footer objects per section, each with its own set of fields. Fields stored inside text boxes and other Word objects are again stored as part of that object. While all these objects are part of the document object, there is no global property which links all fields together.

Because of the performance implication of analysing the Word document for all elements that could contain fields and the need to keep an object reference list for all these fields, Integra only supports creation of fields within the main document and the footers and headers of a Word document.
