How will Integra for Notes deal with COM changes in Notes?
Integra for Notes utilises Microsoft Office's COM objects from inside Notes' LotusScript. No Notes-side COM is utilized and therefore any changes in Notes' implementation of COM in future releases of Notes should not effect Integra.
With regards to any changes that might be made to the Microsoft COM objects, one would need to see what these changes are and it is difficult to predict or guarantee anything. However looking at the present situation, the Integra libraries were originally developed for Microsoft Office 2000 and without a single line of change in the Integra code these libraries have been working for all Microsoft Office versions from Microsoft Office 97 onwards and including Microsoft Office XP. These operations are also independent from the underlying Windows version.
In any case, should any changes in Integra for Notes be required to support future versions of Notes and/or Office, Shireburn will be interested to implement these changes and clients who have taken out the Maintenance Support service for Integra for Notes would receive these updates free of charge.
